Veld Ubuntu Rug

Handwoven in white Karakul wool, Veld Ubuntu is shaped by the African philosophy of shared humanity. Its name comes from the Zulu proverb “Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu” - a person is a person through other people - a sentiment reflected in the rug’s quiet, interconnected pattern. One of the earliest designs in the collection, it brings a reflective, peaceful presence to a space.

This handwoven rug collection brings a sense of calm, story, and understated barefoot luxury into the home. Inspired by South Africa - from its wild landscapes to the philosophies shaped by its people - each design is woven on traditional wooden looms by skilled women artisans using locally sourced African wool and mohair. Reflecting the natural colours and textures of the land, the rugs bring an organic, restorative feeling to any space.
